One of the strongest examples of this strategy is Hegelmann Hub in Żarska Wieś, located near the Polish-German border. The company invested over PLN 180 million in developing this modern truck transport centre, which combines vehicle servicing, parking facilities, a hotel, a gym and operational infrastructure. The facility was designed not only to improve transport efficiency but also to support drivers’ wellbeing and everyday needs.

The company continues investing in the renewal and development of its fleet. As part of this investment, Hegelmann is introducing 500 new Mercedes-Benz tractor units, with the majority of these vehicles strengthening operations in Poland.

Although logistics is often associated with vehicles and routes, every successful operation depends on people. Hegelmann’s teams include office employees, operational specialists, finance, administration, HR, service and back-office teams, as well as professional drivers who play a key role in delivering transport solutions to customers every day.  

Today, more than 3,000 employees work in Hegelmann’s Polish companies. Over the years, people from 59 countries and 5 continents have contributed to building the organisation, bringing together different experiences, languages and professional backgrounds.

As the European transport industry continues to face a shortage of professional drivers, Hegelmann believes that investing in drivers means investing in the quality and reliability of transport services. This long-term commitment is reflected in the company’s workforce, where every fifth driver has been with Hegelmann for more than five years. In an industry facing constant operational pressure and changing market conditions, this reflects trust, experience and long-term relationships built over time.

Making a positive impact beyond transport 

Hegelmann believes that creating value extends beyond transport operations. 

Hegelmann’s commitment to social responsibility has been recognised externally. In 2025, Hegelmann Transporte received the CSR Award in the Community Engagement category for operating the Charity Point for Families in Need in Częstochowa. The initiative supports refugees, families facing difficult situations and organisations dedicated to animal welfare. 

The company has also been recognised with a Social Business Award, highlighting its commitment to creating value not only within the organisation but also for society through long-term community initiatives. 

These values are reflected in a wide range of initiatives carried out together with employees, local communities and business partners. For the past six years, employees from the company’s offices in Częstochowa and Poznań have joined forces with local communities to clean the banks of the Warta River. Working from both the riverbanks and kayaks, they collect waste and help protect the environment shared by both regions. 

Every October, Hegelmann also organises breast cancer awareness activities. The company prepares and distributes educational materials among drivers, employees and residents of Częstochowa while actively involving business partners. Together, they promote regular preventive examinations and early detection, believing that joint initiatives can make a real difference.
