Successful Completion of the First Cargo Transportation from China to the EU via Georgia by Hegelmann Multimodal Georgia

Right at the Polish-German border, near the A4 and DK94, the Hegelmann Hub has been established. Located in Żarska Wieś near Zgorzelec, this investment is more than just a base for trucks. It’s a comprehensive truck complex offering a wide range of services that meet all the needs of professional drivers and the transport companies they represent.

On the road, a driver needs parking, solid rest, and good food. Those are basic needs. Hegelmann Hub is not just a spacious TIR parking, but also offers comfortable accommodation, delicious food at the restaurant, as well as a modern workshop and tachograph service (provided by Tacho24).

The HT Trucks & Parts workshop, covering an area of 13 000 m², also includes a Regional Vehicle Inspection Station, a paint shop, and bodywork services for all types of trucks and trailers. The team of experienced mechanics ensures high-quality implementation of all repairs, inspections, diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance.

The paint shop located here is adapted for painting long vehicles, with the capability to handle elements up to 40 meters long. This modern auto port also offers a modern car wash capable of thoroughly cleaning both the exterior and interior parts of vehicles.

A home on the road comes with responsibilities

The Hegelmann Hub has spacious, monitored, and guarded parking lots that can accommodate 850 trucks. Over 750 sleeping places are waiting for drivers at the Training and Accommodation Centre, along with access to kitchens, professional gyms, and luggage storage. This centre also includes laundries and kitchens for self-catering. There is also an option to dine at the restaurant.

Hegelmann baut erstes Service-Hub für Lkw-Fahrer in Polen

Hegelmann baut erstes Service-Hub für Lkw-Fahrer in Polen

  • Neuer Knotenpunkt entsteht grenznah im Südwesten des Landes

Bruchsal/ Żarska Wieś (Polen), 16. Juli 2021 – Die Hegelmann Gruppe baut das erste Hub für Lkw-Fahrer in Polen. Das landesweit einzigartige Projekt entsteht in Żarska Wieś, im Südwesten Polens nahe der deutschen Grenze, auf einem knapp zwölf Hektar großen Areal. Das Betriebszentrum bietet neben umfassenden Servicemöglichkeiten für Spediteure und Fahrzeuge auch ein eigenes Hotel und reichhaltige Parkmöglichkeiten. Damit reagiert das internationale Transport- und Logistikunternehmen zugleich auf die gestiegenen Anforderungen durch neue EU-Vorschriften und dem Mobilitätspaket. Bislang beträgt die Investitionssumme rund 22 Millionen Euro. Die Eröffnung des Komplexes, der sukzessive erweitert werden soll, ist für Mitte 2022 geplant.

„Mit dem Hub errichten wir einen optimalen Servicekomplex zugeschnitten auf die die Bedürfnisse unserer Fahrer und Mitarbeiter. Darüber hinaus unterstützen wir damit kleinere Speditionen dabei, die Anforderungen des Mobilitätspakets zu erfüllen“, sagt Siegfried Hegelmann, Gesellschafter der Hegelmann Gruppe. Als erstes Unternehmen der Transport- und Logistikbranche errichtet Hegelmann ein integriertes Betriebszentrum in Polen. Der Standort ist in mehrere Zonen unterteilt: Der rund 7.000 Quadratmeter große Servicebereich für Lkw umfasst eine Werkstatt, eine Diagnoseeinrichtung, eine Lackiererei und eine Lkw-Waschanlage. Hinzu kommt ein knapp 6.000 Quadratmetern großes Ersatzteile- und Reifenlager. „Durch die gesamte Palette an Dienstleistungen lassen sich Reparaturzeiten optimieren und ein effizienter Betrieb gewährleisten“, sagt Hegelmann. In Zukunft sollen hier noch ein separater Logistikkomplex und ein Lagerzentrum entstehen.

Neben eigenen Büroflächen stehen auf dem riesigen Areal rund 60 zusätzliche Büros für externe Unternehmen zur Verfügung. Ebenfalls zum erweiterten Stützpunkt gehört ein Hotel mit über 750 Betten. Dort können Fahrer, die von europäischen Strecken zurückkehren, ihre obligatorische Ruhezeit verbringen. Ein weiterer Vorteil des Hegelmann-Hubs ist die separate, hochwertige Gewerbefläche, die für Geschäftspartner, Spediteure und andere Transportunternehmen vorgesehen ist. Die großzügigen Parkflächen rund um die Büros, das Hotel, die Servicebereiche und die Lagerhallen bieten zudem Platz für 220 Lkw und 450 Pkw. „Der Hegelmann Hub in Polen ist ein Transportstützpunkt, der in vielerlei Hinsicht für einen optimalen Betrieb ausgelegt ist“, sagt Hegelmann.

Die Eröffnung des Hegelmann Hub Polen Mitte 2022 wird auch positive Auswirkungen auf die Region haben. Im Betriebszentrum selbst sollen etwa 200 Mitarbeiter beschäftigt werden. „Weitere Arbeitsplätze werden durch unsere Geschäftspartner und andere Firmen entstehen“, sagt Hegelmann.

Die Hegelmann Gruppe expandiert in die USA

Das internationale Transport- und Logistikunternehmen startet seine Tätigkeit in Nordamerika als Hegelmann USA. Der Hauptsitz in Chicago wird Anfang Januar kommenden Jahres mit der Erbringung von Transport- und Logistikdienstleistungen beginnen. In den ersten drei Jahren ist eine Investition von rund zehn Millionen Euro in das Wachstum der neuen US-Niederlassung geplant. Hegelmann plant, in Zukunft weitere nord- und mittelamerikanische Märkte zu erschließen. Erstes Ziel wird Kanada sein. Das internationale Wachstum soll fortgesetzt werden.

Im ersten Jahr sollen in den USA mindestens 15 neue Stellen geschaffen werden. Die Flotte besteht zunächst aus zehn Standard-LKW. Später soll die Flotte mit LNG- oder strombetriebenen LKW erweitert werden. „Wir hatten die Expansion in die USA bereits Ende 2019 in Betracht gezogen. Wir wollen eine globale Organisation werden, die ihre Dienstleistungen auf dem europäischen, nordamerikanischen und asiatischen Kontinent anbietet. Wir glauben, dass wir durch hartes und ehrliches Arbeiten zu einem erfolgreichen, ehrgeizigen und stetig wachsenden Player auf dem US- und nordamerikanischen Markt werden können“, erklärt Andrew Jasinskas, der als Head of Business Development der Hegelmann Gruppe für die US-Expansion verantwortlich zeichnet.

Hegelmann hat bereits Anknüpfungspunkte an den US-Markt. „Wir bieten Logistikdienstleistungen für unsere amerikanischen Partner in Europa an und sind deswegen bereits gut vernetzt“, so Jasinskas. Hegelmann plant, im ersten Jahr der Expansion rund zwei Millionen Euro in das strategische Wachstum und das operative Geschäft zu investieren. Weitere acht Millionen Euro sollen im zweiten und dritten Jahr folgen. Geplant sind unter anderem Anschaffungen von „Dry Van“-Anhängern, Thermo-Anhängern, Plattformen, Silos und Autoträger-Anhängern. „Wir möchten in den USA sehr schnell die gleiche Dienstleistungsbandbreite anbieten wie in Europa. Wir sind ein globales und leistungsstarkes Unternehmen“, so Jasinskas abschließend.
